I am a young Sicilian, born amidst the natural wonders of this deeply loved land. I chose to carry on the family business, which has been dedicated to viticulture for three generations, with the aim of continuing a tradition passed down with passion and dedication. A deep connection with the past, but with a constant gaze toward the future.

Class of ’86: A young Sicilian with a dream taking shape

THE STORY OF A LOVE FOR THE LAND
My family’s business has deep roots, starting in 1940. A journey that has seen the growth, from generation to generation, of a passion for wine that has now arrived to me. Today, I am committed to continuing this tradition, with the desire to innovate, always respecting the values passed down.

THE FIRST APPROACH: DISCOVERING A GROWING PASSION
My first encounter with wine dates back to when I was a young boy. What started as curiosity soon transformed into a true passion. My first attempt at winemaking, done on my own, was the starting point of a path that led me to discover that wine, in addition to being my talent, would be my true calling. Years later, tasting that first wine, I realized that the bottle didn’t just tell a story, but my future.

THE STUDIES: RETURNING TO MY ROOTS, BUT WITH A NEW VISION
I chose to study Agricultural Sciences in Bologna, but my true fulfillment came when I decided to return to Sicily, to rediscover my land and make it the protagonist of my work. My commitment is to give value to the territory, not only through my work but also by creating wines that tell the story of Sicily, its traditions, and its unique character.

THE VINEYARD: AN INTIMATE CONNECTION WITH THE LAND THAT NURTURES AND GROWS
Every day spent in my vineyard is a meeting with nature, a moment of deep connection. Caring for the vines, the act of pruning, and the contact with the earth that nourishes me are vital moments for me. Every step, every decision, every care in cultivation is an act of love and respect for the land. A process that, day after day, enriches me and makes me feel part of a greater plan.

THE LOVE FOR THE SEA
THE ESSENCE OF SICILY THAT INSPIRES MY LIFE

Sicily is not just my home, but also the sea that surrounds it, a source of inspiration and a profound bond. The sea has always been a constant in my life: I love sailing and fishing, and my bond with water is inseparable. This love has also inspired the names of my wines: L’Approdo, Derive, Legni, Corallo. Wines that evoke the sea, that tell the story of the salty breeze and the scent of the sea. Because, in the end, my wine is “the wine that tastes of the sea,” a sip that takes you on a journey between the waves, where the land meets the sea.
